Every year an event comes along that tests mental and physical strengths of it's racers like no other. Pisgah Productions proudly presents the hardest (and most fun) thing you will do this year..... the DOUBLE DARE.

On October 10-11, 2008 teams of two riders will race to reach up to 10 checkpoints per day, two days in a row. The race begins at noon on Saturday and every team must be back before midnight. The race resumes at 6AM Sunday with 10 brand new checkpoints. Every team must finish before 6PM on Sunday. Teams 'in the running' should expect up to 70 miles of riding with 12,000-15,000 feet of climbing each day.

There is no entry fee. There will be no prizes. This race is just about fun and glory, and pain and suffering.

There will be nothing at the checkpoints other than pre-existing landmarks. Every team must carry a reliable digital camera to photograph the landmarks as proof of being there.

Every racer must be a Pisgah MTB Adventure finisher. The 2008 Double Dare is going to be hard as hell. If you haven't experienced the one day version of a Pisgah Productions' event, or haven't completed it, you shouldn't expect to be able to compete in the Double Dare.

That being said, FINISHING the Double Dare is a relatively easy task. Just make it to the mandatory CP each day and back to the start/finish before the cutoffs. However, to COMPETE with the big boys in the Double Dare. will make for a very, very tough day in the woods.

There will be no amenities provided other than water from a well and compost toilets at the start/finish. Bring everything you may need, (shelter, food, water, firewood, beer, etc.)

There are 25 team spots available. To register email pisgahproductions@hotmail.com after July 1, 2008.
