(1) Reliable Digital Camera, and any cables needed to connect it to a computer (you are responsible for producing photos of the checkpoints as you cross the finish line.) (high quality camera phone is o.k.)
(1) Bike Lock. Let's just say there may be a time during the race that you may wish (need) to leave your trusty steed behind.
(1) First Aid kit. w/ Ace bandage, gauze, tape, etc., enough stuff to stop yourself from bleeding to death out there
(2) Bike Lights front and (2)rear
(2) Back-up light source
(1) Water Filter or iodine
(1) Lighter
(1) Map and (1)Compass
(2) Whistle
(2) Rain Jacket (trash bags are not rain jackets)
(2) long cycling tights or pants
(2) min 100 wt. fleece or capaline long sleeve top
(2) Emergency Blanket
